CMF has begun the rollout of Nothing OS 4.0 for CMF Phone 1 and Phone 2 Pro users in India. The update introduces a refined Extra Dark Mode, which claims to deepen blacks, improve contrast, and reduce power consumption.

The sub-brand of Nothing, CMF, confirmed that the update will be rolled out in phases and will reach other CMF smartphones in the coming days.

According to the company, the user interface has been improved and refined across the system. The update brings refreshed status bar icons, new lock screen clocks, and a simpler Quick Settings layout for easier navigation.

Nothing OS 4.0 introduces Extra Dark Mode, an enhanced dark theme designed to improve readability across notifications, Quick Settings, and the app drawer. Support has also been extended to first-party apps, including Essential Apps.

The update adds more widget size options, including new 1×1 and 2×2 layouts for widgets such as weather, screen time, and other home screen elements, allowing greater customization.
