Samsung has returned with an updated Fan Edition model, and the Galaxy S25 FE brings several refinements that align it more closely with the Galaxy S25+. Here is a detailed comparison between the Galaxy S24 FE and the new Galaxy S25 FE, highlighting all major differences.
Design and Build Quality
The Galaxy S25 FE is slightly slimmer and lighter compared to the Galaxy S24 FE. Samsung has also upgraded the build materials: the S25 FE uses an enhanced Armor Aluminum frame, offering better durability than the standard aluminum frame found on the S24 FE.
Display
Both devices feature identical 6.7-inch OLED panels. The displays share the same diagonal size, resolution, refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. They also perform similarly in brightness tests.

Performance and Chipset
Both phones use the Exynos 2400 family of chipsets. However, the S24 FE gets a toned-down version called the Exynos 2400E, while the S25 FE receives the full-featured Exynos 2400. In real-world use, the performance gap is small, as the main difference is the 3.2 GHz prime core on the full version.
The S25 FE outperforms the S24 FE in Geekbench 6 by about 10% in pure CPU tests, and GPU results in the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme benchmark show a similar margin.
Battery and Charging
Both models have the same battery capacity and offer comparable battery life. However, charging speed is improved on the S25 FE, which supports 45W fast charging, compared to 25W on the S24 FE.
While total charging time to 100% is similar, the S25 FE charges noticeably faster at the 15-minute and 30-minute marks.
Audio Quality
Speaker performance is slightly better on the S25 FE. Although it scored lower in loudness tests, the new model offers cleaner vocals and more pronounced mids compared to the S24 FE.
Memory and Storage
Memory configurations remain unchanged. Both models offer 8GB of RAM regardless of storage variant, and storage options range from 128GB to 512GB.
Camera Comparison
On paper, both devices feature identical rear camera setups:
- 50 MP main camera
- 8 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom
- 12 MP ultrawide camera
The main noticeable upgrade is in the selfie camera. The Galaxy S25 FE uses a 12 MP front sensor, aligning it with Samsung’s premium flagship models. Although the sensor is slightly smaller than the 10 MP unit on the S24 FE, the S25 FE delivers better image quality overall.
In real-world testing, images from the S25 FE appeared noticeably better, especially at 2x and 3x zoom.
