OnePlus is rolling out a massive update—the first major update for the OnePlus 15—measuring around 2.3 GB. This update focuses on home-screen customizations, faster app launch speeds, widget stacking, and new Flux clock options. Although the OnePlus 15 has not yet become widely familiar to many customers, OnePlus is already pushing a significant update, which comes as a surprise.
With this new update, OnePlus aims to deliver a more seamless and customizable experience across the system. The Photos app is also receiving notable changes. The update is named OxygenOS 16, based on Android 16, and will be available for multiple devices, including the OnePlus Nord CE 5G. The phone is scheduled to receive the update in December.
The rollout begins in India and will gradually expand to more regions and users in batches. The new version adopts several iOS 16-inspired Gaussian blur effects, creating a smooth, liquid-glass appearance across the interface. The quick settings panel now supports drag-and-drop functionality, and the lock screen gets upgraded with Flux Themes 2.0, offering more customization options.

OnePlus has also improved Fluid Cloud, now supporting expanded applications such as music controls, live activities, and live sports scores. The update introduces Mind Space and an AI-powered personal assistant. The AI features assist with writing, generating summaries, live transcriptions, and power management.
Privacy and security have been enhanced thanks to a revamped Privacy Dashboard. Additionally, the update brings numerous under-the-hood improvements to deliver better performance overall.
