As iPhone users continue to wait for Apple’s next flagship, new leaks surrounding the iPhone 18 Pro series have surfaced, hinting at what could be the biggest upgrade in years. The leaks offer an early look at major improvements, including display enhancements, a next-generation chipset, camera upgrades, and a possible shift in Apple’s launch strategy.

According to recent reports, Apple may move away from its traditional single launch event for all iPhone models. Instead, the company could adopt a split launch strategy, releasing Pro models separately from the base iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and the next-generation SE or entry-level iPhone.

Apple typically introduces a new chip every year, and the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to debut the A20 Pro chip. This processor is said to be Apple’s first 2nm chipset, manufactured using an advanced process and featuring Wafer-Level Multi-Chip Module (WMCM) packaging, which could significantly boost performance and power efficiency.

Camera upgrades also appear to be a major focus. Leaks suggest that at least one rear camera on the iPhone 18 Pro models may feature a mechanical iris, enabling variable aperture control. This hardware upgrade would allow for better exposure management and more natural depth-of-field, especially in challenging lighting conditions, potentially reducing Apple’s reliance on heavy software-based image processing.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are still expected to launch in September 2026, Apple’s usual release window for flagship iPhones. However, the base iPhone 18 models may arrive later as part of the rumored staggered release plan.

In terms of pricing, leaks suggest the iPhone 18 Pro could start at ₹1,34,900, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max may be priced at ₹1,49,900 in India. Final pricing may vary depending on storage options and regional factors.

If these leaks prove accurate, the iPhone 18 Pro lineup could mark one of Apple’s most significant generational upgrades in recent years.
